Stretcher bars are wooden frame work on which a canvas of cotton or linen is mounted for artists to work on. One can make their own stretcher bars or buy pre cut ones from art stores. A very important point in the frame is how the corners are joined. Mitre joint is most commonly used. Here, the ends or edges of wood planks are cut at 45? to form a 90? angled corner. The stretcher bars provide the support to canvas otherwise it will sag once it is painted. For getting good painting results, the canvas should be stretched taut over the frame. There should be no creases or unnecessary pulls on the canvas after it has been properly stretched on a stretcher bar. To show off their work, artists or students need portfolio cases. There are large size portfolio cases available in stationery stores or art stores. Though there are cheap vinyl cases are available, one must try and get unique portfolio cases to present their work. After all, the way you present your work to clients and employers will speak for it. If you can get customized portfolio cases made to meet your requirements, it is bound to look different from others. |

Earlier fashionable clothes for other than normal sizes were tough to obtain and in maternity clothing, the choices were even lesser. These days many retailers offer petite maternity clothes. You can have maternity gowns, pant suits, maternity dresses from good retailers now. You can find halter necks, strapless, short sleeved dresses in petite size to bigger ones. Like petite ones, the plus size maternity clothes most often stock loose and baggy designs. With some good retailers, one can actually find cool, stylish maternity clothes even with plus size. It no longer means that maternity clothing for petite or plus sizes is dull and boring. While choosing any style, comfort of the expectant mother is of prime importance here. Nursing clothes are designed keeping comfort of the new mother in mind. As mothers are required to breast feed quite frequently, the nursing clothes have front opening options. A new mother can buy fully opened or partially buttoned front open gowns to feed a baby. A two piece clothing like skirt blouses, trouser and top, more such are ideal for nursing mothers. A pregnant or a new mother can have range of options to choose from; she can have evening dresses, which can be of longer length. |

I am going to a couple of formal social events in the summer and I have been looking around for some suitable clothing for me and my family. It is quite hard to find something which is suitable for any possible weather condition, is formal enough but not too much, is not black or white but not overly colourful and that we will wear again. It sounds like a big ask but I am sick of buying formal dresses and never wearing them again. I do have some in my wardrobe and I suppose my first stop should be there really to see whether I can wear any of them, perhaps accessorising them up to make them look more fashionable. I can get a nice modern pair of women’s shoes probably a classic court shoe which will work in hot and rainy weather and maybe a nice clutch bag. My husband is easy to dress, I am sure that he has a suit and shirt and tie we can dry clean for him. My children are much harder. The range of formal teen clothing is either a prom dress or a bridesmaids dress and neither of them, are appropriate. The floral dresses seem far too immature and so I am a bit stuck. We will have to start searching really early I think. |
